In August of 1986 the magical journey that is now Stargazers began its final assent toward incarnation. It began during a pivotal spiritual retreat for store owner Tess Sterling on the island of Maui.

Tess had traveled to that island paradise to study with world renowned Trans-channel Kevin Ryerson (most widely known from Shirley McLaines's writings.) In a two week course of readings, ritual, and channeled cohesiveness Ms. Sterling was transformed by the information received and given. While communicating with Kevin's channeled ancient, An Ton Rey, Tess was amazed to discover the energy was familiar. She recognized this entity, and got right to the business of continuing any unfinished work. An Ton Rey in turn recognized the connection picking a crystal right out of Tess' hand, a fluorite octahedron of amazing depth and clarity in its deep purple tones, and unexpected flecks of gold pyrite. It was made clear through the channel that the stone had once belonged to An Ton Rey. "It may have been his, but it's mine now!" was Tess' response, and the magic of that gift has never stopped giving. Tess was directed in the holding of the stone to give it wherever she deemed it would be of the most use. Her direction was surprisingly clear.

During that retreat Tess was asked to give an amazing number of readings, and to continually provide ritual for the many people participating. Much time was spent on relationship work and defining moments of spiritual therapy. It was a truly blessed journey for someone to be directed so specifically by so many.

Upon Ms. Sterling's arrival back home in Bellevue, Washington she was surprised and delighted to have it suggested that she open a crystal store. She spent much time in meditation and in search of divine guidance, and within three weeks of these events, Stargazers was open. At the time Stargazers opened it was the largest crystal store in the Northwest and by its light and example has paved the way for many others to share in the delight of pursuing these energies of nature.

While Tess' interest in and study of metaphysics began more that 30 years ago, it was solidified and put into action by these magical events. She has an advanced degree in Philosophy, and continues to study all aspects of spiritual life. She is a psychic, channel and spiritual consultant, offering Tarot Readings, Shamanic Journeying and a counseling technique called Voice Dialogue. For those who have been guided by, and studied with Tess, she is the best kind of resource one can have in life.
